Meet Lauren

I’m Lauren, I am Young Ambitious & Beautiful

As a Michigan State University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy…. I am ready for success! My ultimate goal is to become an Intellectual Property attorney and eventually transition into Probate so that I can teach African American Communities how to accumulate wealth. At 50, I plan to retire and become a philanthropist while owning 2 businesses on the side.

I see YAB as the quintessential network for young women of color to utilize. It will be both uplifting and resourceful, as well as provide tools for other young women to use as stepping stones to their own personal success. We will create a sense of sisterhood that is not necessarily seen in everyday society. We will be the examples of Young Ambitious & Beautiful women!

Meet Courtney

Detroit, MI native and Michigan State University graduate; turned Chicago entrepreneur and DePaul University Masters student, I’ve has always had a passion for helping others and looking nice while doing it! After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Arts and Technology Courtney decided to use those skills to start her own company Just The Beginning LLC; providing services to start-ups, non-profits, and existing small businesses. Courtney believes that all African American girls and women, including those from distressed backgrounds have the potential to become Young, Ambitious and Beautiful, especially with the support and encouragement from those women that have been there. Remember this is Just The Beginning.
