Young, Ambitious, & Beautiful

“My mother would cry about my blindness and the hopelessness of my ever seeing, but I told her I wasn’t sad. I believed God had something for me to do. Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.” ~Stevie Wonder
“My doctors told me I would never walk again. My mother told me I would. I believed my mother. My mother taught me very early to believe I could achieve any accomplishment I wanted to. The first was to walk without braces.” ~Wilma Rudolph
These are just a few short excerpts from inspirational stories about mothers but it has inspired us enough to create a Mother’s Day project! Y.A.B. would like all of our members as well as supporters to share a story about the best experience you’ve ever shared with your mother or a mother-figure in your life. These stories will then be published on our official website www.iamyab.org. Please submit no more than 500 words about your experience as well as a picture of yourself and your mother/mother-figure to: 3yab2012@gmail.com.

Looking forward to reading all of these inspiring stories!
