As a Michigan State University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy, I have set myself up to have a background that can flourish in multiple areas. I have decided to utilize my degree to further pursue a Masters of Arts in Public Policy from The New England College. As an MAPP student, I currently work as fellow for the Millenial Mayors Congress Program through the Michigan Suburbs Alliance. There I am able to utilize my skills in leadership to delegate ideas to members of Congress and Michigan Mayors as well as the younger population of Michigan to adequately implement policies that are beneficial to all. My ultimate goal is to develop my own legislative consulting firm. At 50, I plan to retire and become a philanthropist while owning the businesses that have been cultivated from my work experience. I see YAB as the quintessential network for young women of color to utilize. It will be both uplifting and resourceful, as well as provide tools for other young women to use as stepping stones to their own personal success. We will create a sense of sisterhood that is not necessarily seen in everyday society. We will be the examples of Young Ambitious & Beautiful women.
